This pattern has is very special to me because I was able to design a pattern to coordinate with a pattern designed by Nancy Lee Chong. As most of you know Nancy is a friend of mine and she is the reason I learned needleturn and Hawaiian Quilting. It has been about 3 1/2 years since my husband and I became the owners of Pacific Rim Quilt Company and since then I have had some big shoes to fill stepping into such a well known and respected company. I finally feel like I am hitting my stride and able to bring some of me into the company. I have been able to do this with the day to day operation but even more important to me is the designing. Between quilting and designing this is the main reasons I wanted to become the owner. I guess Moon Dance is a symbol of combining the previous with the current Pacific Rim Quilt Company.
Here is the Celestial Eclipse Quilt. This quilt is created by taking the Sunshine and Moon Dance patterns and lay them side by side. You will then fold back the border edge of the Sunshine Pattern where it will be joined with Moon Dance. You will then tape them together along the inner border line. At this point you have a larger single pattern and you will just follow the same steps as in the instructions and you will have the first 42" x 36" 2 Fabric Applique Quilt. This is the perfect size for a larger wall hanging or it is the perfect size for a crib quilt.
