I wanted to travel with only the necessities. It was important to me that I not bring too many unnecessary items since I was doing my best to travel light... I am trying to turn over a new leaf. Typically I am burdened with too much and I wanted to correct that.
I prepared three Hawaiian blocks that were cut, basted and ready to go. Next I took a look at my bag of notions and picked out only the essentials:
As you can see in the photo of my necessities I have a lanyard. I like to have my scissors clipped on a lanyard that I can put around my neck while on the plane. This is so my scissors do not fall down between the seats on the or on the floor. I have also discovered that I can thread the lanyard through the center of a spool of Aurifil thread so I do not lose that either.
Pack these and you will be prepared and not stressed. Stitching is a wonderful meditative activity and will help keep you relaxed.
SAFE TRAVELS!
