HAWAIIAN BED QUILT PATTERNS
For most of us, it was the sight of a large Hawaiian Quilt that first caught our attention and sparked our imagination. "I can do that!" we said. For those of you eager to have a traditional bed-size quilt, here is your opportunity! We have a nice selection of bed-size Hawaiian quilt patterns.
Please do not let the tiny size of the flowers, buds and leaves in these thumbnail photos intimidate you. Remember, you are looking at a 4" photograph of a Hawaiian bed-size quilt. For example, the orchids in the Orchid pattern are about the size of your fist and the smallest bud is about 2"x2". Perfectly doable for needleturn applique!
HAWAIIAN WALL QUILT PATTERNS
Small Hawaiian wall quilts (generally in the 40" square range) can be wonderful projects for the beginner, or the person who wants to display the beauty of their Hawaiian Quilt on the wall. These quilts definitely take less time to produce than the full bed-size Hawaiian quilts and can be very dramatic. Small quilts can be used on beds, walls, tables, or as a medallion in a larger quilt with additional pieced or appliqued borders. Or make a Hawaiian bed quilt by repeating a wall quilt four times (a four-patch quilt).
While many of these designs appear complex, they are surprisingly easy to make.
2 FABRIC APPLIQUE QUILTS
Make any of our "2 Fabric Applique Quilts" using: fusible web and machine applique, raw-edge applique, or hand applique. The choice is yours! Detailed instructions for all three methods included with every pattern.
APPLIQUE BORDERS AND RUNNERS PATTERNS
Yes! These narrow applique runners are so much more than just table runners. Use these patterns to make quilt borders, wall hangings, placemats, bed runners, and pillow cases. With unlimited ways to group and mix these applique border and runner patterns, even with other patterns, we know you will want all of them.
Several of these patterns are what we call multi-piece applique, meaning that the applique pieces are cut individually from various fabrics. This makes them different from our Hawaiian Quilt and 2 Fabric Applique Quilt patterns, which are cut from one piece of fabric.
